Hard Boiling Eggs

Delicious deviled egg recipes the whole family will love.

There are several different methods and everyone has their personal favorite. You’ll have to experiment and figure out what works best for you. Some people like to store their eggs the night before on their sides in the refrigerator so the yolks are perfectly centered. I personally don’t do this and have never had a complaint or any left over deviled eggs.

Things you’ll need for all methods:

* Large Pot or sauce pan with lid
* Eggs – at room temperature
* Water

Method #1

1. Put eggs in large pot or sauce pan and completely cover with at least 1″ cold water over the top of the eggs.
2. Place lid on pan and set your burner to high heat.
3. When water boils, remove covered pot from heat and let eggs sit in covered pot. Sitting times: Small eggs 17 minutes, medium eggs 18 minutes, large eggs 22 minutes, extra large eggs 23 minutes, and jumbo eggs 24 minutes.
4. Remove lid and place pot in sink and run cold water over eggs.

Method #2

1. Put eggs in large pot or sauce pan and completely cover with at least 1″ cold water over the top of the eggs.
2. Place lid on pan and set your burner to high heat.
3. Once the water boils turn off the burner and leave the pot on the hot burner.
4. Let eggs sit in hot water for 30 minutes.
5. Remove lid and place pot in sink and run cold water over eggs.

Method #3 (my personal favorite)

1. Put eggs in large pot or sauce pan and completely cover with at least 1″ cold water over the top of the eggs.
